      The January 2010 Consumer Electronics show highlighted gigantic 4k x 2k LCD monitors, 3D TVs and the electronics that will drive them. But how will they be connected? Why with DisplayPort of course! That is just the consumer side of things. Industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) applications will increase in resolution and size as well. Enter DisplayPort from the Video Electronics Standards Association which supports 2.7 Gbits/second per channel with up to four channels in a single cable.

      Like PCI Express, DisplayPort demands you come up to speed on protocol issues as you design the hardware. Use the TB-FMCH-DP to evaluate DisplayPort Policy Maker functions, to work out the kinks in your video packet processing blocks, or just to confirm that your Enhanced Display Identification Data (EDID) structures are constructed correctly.

      The TB-FMCH-DP FPGA mezzanine card (FMC) provides a simple and direct route to all of these things in a system including the TB-6S-LX150T-IMG carrier card (baseboard) -- available separately or as part of the Consumer Video Kit.
