Returns, Cancellations and Licensing Policy (13-Nov-2009)
We want satisfied customers and recognize that occasionally returns and order cancellations may be necessary. These events are covered by our policy below. Be sure to read and agree to them prior to making a purchase.
Downloaded Items and Products
A downloaded item or product is considered "to be opened" at the moment the
download begins and therefore no return or order cancellation may be
made. Upon confirmation to begin the download the purchaser and the individual initiating the download agree to all licensing terms and conditions.
If the download fails and the product is not received properly then it may be downloaded again or a request for physical media delivery may be made (at additional cost).
Electronic Items
Static Sensitive Items
Electronic products require special handling to prevent damage due to static electricity. Products received in static bags may be returned for full credit under the following conditions:
- The static protection bag has not been opened
- The static protection seal is intact and has not been tampered with
- The product is returned with all original package contents
- The return shipping date is within 7 calendar days from the receipt of the package.
- A return material authorization ("RMA") is obtained from Aspen Logic (303-800-5859)
Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a restocking fee of a
minimum 20% and up to a maximum of 100% of the purchase price at
Aspen Logic's discretion.
Non Static Sensitive Items
These items may be returned if they are in re-sellable condition. The following conditions must be met:
- Seals (shrink wrap, tape seals, etc.) around individual items must not be broken
- The item is returned with all original package contents
- The return shipping date is within 7 calendar days from the receipt of the package.
- A return material authorization ("RMA") is obtained from Aspen Logic (303-800-5859)

Services
Return or cancellation of deliverables are subject to the individual terms and conditions agreed to in the signed, written contract properly executed between the parties and enforce at the time of return and/or cancellation. Customer acknowledges that this policy neither extends, reduces, replaces or modifies any aspect (in whole or part) of a previously signed agreement.
Returns Under Warranty
Electronic items returned under warranty due to defects in materials or workmanship will be accepted for a full refund of the purchase price plus original shipping charges. Items damaged due to static electricity are not eligible for warranty protection.
Licensing
Some products, items, downloads, etc. are subject to licensing terms agreed to at the time of purchase. In some cases those license terms may persist after a return or order cancellation is made.
Rationale
This policy is intended to protect Aspen Logic, Inc. from unscrupulous buyers who intend to buy products, use them for a short while, then return them. It is not intended to restrict or prevent legitimate returns.
Please work with us openly to discuss your dissatisfaction and find a way to work things out. The purpose behind requesting an RMA is to begin this discussion.
